More Punk Than You:Hy guys, how are you?
Simone:Hi Mircea, everything is allright! I'm sorry for late, but just yesterday we came back from European tour!
I know you released Drive in october. Tell me a little something about it.
Drive is our 4th album and was recorded on the past spring by Fabio Magistrali, the italian Steve Albini :) It sounds more fast and hard than our past records. Lyrics are in english and songs are 11.
Drive is the result of two year on tour all around europe. You can listen two songs called "Three monkeys" and "Umarldym dla..?" on our space (www.myspace.com/imodiumitaly).
I know it isn't released in collaboration with vacation house anymore. What happened?
For Diy etich, we decide to put out Drive as a big collaboration with 12 labels all around the world. Vacation House is one of our italian label, but not the only one like two years ago.

You've been to Romania. i know that now you're preparing for touring again and you'll visit us once more. What was your first impression?
Yes, we touring in romania in april of 2006. We play in Timisoara and night was great. People was very very friendly and appreciate our music. We have some nice friend in your country that help us to book show. Unfortunately for this tour we cant book show and one show booked was canceled by the venue. so, the next time!
Tell me which bands have influenced you and what bands are you listening to
Our first influences was of course Nirvana when we are young, but now we mixed it with some noise emo and hardcore music. We are influenced also by Sunny Day real estate, Quicksand, Helmet, Angeli (italian 90's band from guitarist of Negazione), My Vitriol ecc
I listen many music, now my favorite bands are Hundred reasons, Quicksand, Knut, Fugazi, Red animal war and some others.

Although i don't want to ask political questions, i would like to ask you what is the impact upon the italian ordinary people of the incidents that have happened last month in itlay
I'm so sad for this fucking events. A big part of italian people are not racist, but we have few stupid people that speakin bad about rom and romania. I think is wrong that all pay for just one people. Other mistake is Rom=Romania, some stupid people say this.
Anyway i think that this conflict are for political man and stupid people. Italian ordinary people dont hate Romania and we are from this kind.
Finally, some people dont remember that we have the same latin origin!!
I have also seen on the cover from "and so dodgem songs" the simbol of the communist party, and on your web-site you have a list with the left parties from all over the world. i know that italy has a lot of both left and right followers. which is your political orientation?
The simbol on the booklet of "...and so: dodgem songs!" are one murales in the squat in our city where we playd some concerts.
We dont like politics and we dont like any regime. Any. Communist and fascist regime are the same shit.
I think all the people are the same all around the world.

Back to drive. will you shoot any videos? as far as i know, you don't have any official videos.
Not for now, but from future we will put out some videos.
For now we have just one video spot on rotation on tv from Macedonia for promote our show :D
Anyway, we have a lot of videos of our concert, in the future we can put out a dvd with some video shows or funny moments on tour!
What are your expectations regarding this tour? you will reach Eastern Europe and a lot of people think that there is no punk scene in here.
We want to play everywhere :D We never been in south east europe and we like to know new people from different country. Scene is not important.
